A good quality mid 19th century brass inlaid rosewood gentleman’s travel dressing case that opens to reveal a velvet lined interior with a selection of silver-plate topped bottles and jars although minus the manicure tools - removable trays and secret drawers beneath. Label to interior W Leuchars - William Leuchars exhibited and won prize medals for his dressing cases at the Great Exhibition of 1851 and the International Exhibition of 1862
