An early 18th century walnut, elm and oak chest of drawers which was originally either the top of a Tallboy or from a chest on stand, but has since had various historic "restoration" work. The sides would have originally been pine and one can see this behind the oak boards - the elm top has since been polished. Later cornice and due to the additional width of carcass sides has later wider mouldings . Would have originally had engraved back-plate loop handles to the oak lined drawers.
